In true Victor Cruz style, the Super Bowl Champion and Pro Bowler shared a snazzy video on Instagram bidding farewell to football. At least as it pertains to the field. In a video produced in partnership with UNINTERRUPTED, Victor reveals in a 1 minute clip that highlights his successes both on and off the field that he’s decided to hand up the cleats for a NFL analyst seat at ESPN.
“As I officially close one chapter of my life and begin another, I could not be more thrilled to join another championship team at ESPN,” Cruz said in a statement. “I’m excited to get started and share my insight and analysis with the viewers and fans of the NFL.”
Cruz was quite the impact player for the New York Giants from 2011 to 2013, during which he caught 241 passes for 3,626 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also had a successful 2011 season with 21 receptions for 269 yards in four games and a touchdown catch in the Super Bowl XLVI Giants’ 21-17 victory over the Patriots.
Victor will debut on ESPN on Wednesday, August 22nd.
